The house itself is a listed Victorian townhouse dating back to 1856, the rooms are mostly furnished with restored period furniture which we have collected over the years. Our breakfast room has a large black marble fireplace, an ornate cornice ceiling, wide bay window and a large 10 foot antique mahogany table where you can enjoy breakfast with the other guests, the chairs were formerly church chairs from St Giles cathedral and date back to the 1880’s.
The hotel is 30 minutes drive from the town of Maidstone. Chatham and Rochester are located 10 minutes by car.
