The 4 star Knockderry House Hotel was originally built by a rich wool merchant as a family retreat in 1846, it was later upgraded and built as it stands presently during Victorian times in 1890. The house is now a luxurious country house hotel retaining many of its original features including stained glass and panelling in the billiards room and dining room. The hotel bar and lounge was once the music and chapel rooms.
