No highland hospitality breakfast!!!!!
My personal experience is based on a midweek stay with my husband. we stayed 3 nights bb. the rate was resonable and location was excellent. unfortunately the breakfast was awful. i believe that when you pay for breakfast you should get breakfast right up to the time when the breakfast room closes. we arrived down at a reasonable 0845, with only 2 eggs left (rubber), scrambled eggs all dryed up, 4 rashers of bacon, dried up beans, hard fatty hash browns. i asked for a fresh fried egg, im still waiting. we spoke to the manager after the first morning, he was not interested even after finding a long black hair in my food, you couldnt see him for dust as he scurried off into the kitchen! i believe the hotel gives a great overlook and the reception gives you the impression of a lovely highland hotel, ( it used to have a great reputation many years ago) unfortunately the attention to details like feeding the guests have been overlooked. i advise that you do as we did and dont eat there. we did not eat on the 3rd morning. if you can get a good room only rate, go for it and tell them why!
