The lobby is very small and is simply decorated in a modern style, most noticeably for its wide array of framed artwork. Nevertheless it is extremely welcoming, warm and cosy.

Convenient, inexpensive, located downtown--a gem in stockholm

We stayed one night and were very impressed with the hotel. the price is reasonable compared to the bigger hotels and the chains. the front-desk staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable....among the best we have ever dealt with. the lobby is small and the rooms are average--suitable for a two or three-day stay--but probably a tad small if you are staying a week. however, the rooms are clean and nice and not any reason to complain unless you are expected chain hotel accomodations. the hotel is convenient to the shopping strip, is a short walk to the waterfront, and a nice stroll to the old town. cabs are expensive, so location matters. we left from the hotel for the airport via the bullet train. it took 19 minutes. the train platform is maybe 75 meters from the hotel lobby.

Freys hotel - stockholm

We have stayed for 2 nights only, but it was great. the hotel is in a perfect location - 3 mins walk from the central station, 10 mins walk from the old city centre. the hotel is currently being refurbished but it's absolutely fine. we didn't hear any noise and apart from the lift being covered in cardboard, we wouldn't even notice there was refurbishing going on. the room we stayed in on the 2nd floor, didn't have a great view - back of the hotel, overlooking a loading bay, but it was newly refurbished, super clean and comfortable. the breakfast room is part of a belgium restaurant next door and it was great. loads to choose from and the best part - you can prepare your own waffles. i would recommend this hotel to anyone - singles, couples, business people... and if i was going to stockholm again, i would definitely stayed there again.
