Built in 1930 the building is art deco in style and has glass windows across the whole of the ground floor entrance and restaurant giving it a very bright and pleasant look.
The rooms are all of a very high 3* standard and are unique in design and decor with pieces of art adorning the walls. The rooms are all en-suite with large comfortable beds, satellite TV, telephone and a writing desk and chair. These are amongst the best 3* rooms in the city.
The restaurant is called Patat and offers a mixture of Malay, Dutch and Portugese cuisine. Breakfast is also served in this ground floor restaurant and is also a popular cafe with guests and locals. It is a vibrant and colourful modern restaurant with plenty of seating and there is a bar at its centre.
