The hotel is part of the Hotel 81 chain operating eleven budget, no frills properties in Singapore. These are decent and clean hotels in a more local part of town. sg 03/09
The hotel is located at a side road, about 3-5 mins walk to the bustling main road. This area is the officially designated red-light district, it is notoriously known as Singapore's main red light district. This area is also well known to the local for good food and fruit shops. The streets will transform at night with garish neon lights and red lanterns signifying houses of pleasure. This is as close as you can get to the alternative side of Singapore.

The lobby is very small with no frills. A single counter manned by friendly staff with a small seating area.

Modern L-sharped building in pastel blue, sited at the corner of the side road.

Rooms are small, relative to hotel rooms in Singapore. As this is a no frills hotel, amenities and furnishing are basic. Basically clean bed(s) with a small cupboard but with coffee/tea and cable television facilities. However, it is ISO 9002 certified and thus quality and cleanliness is assured. The attached bathrooms are equipped with standing shower only.
