The hotel is part of the Hotel 81 chain operating eleven budget, no frills properties in Singapore. These are decent and clean hotels in a more local part of town. sg 06/07
Located within the red light district in the suburb of Geylang, this area is well known to the locals for its good food, fruit shops and exciting night life. Along the street, some building light up with garish neon lights and red lanterns signifying houses of pleasure. Walking down the streets is as safe as any part of Singapore. This is as close as you can get to the alternative side of Singapore.

The lobby is very small with no frills. A single counter manned by friendly staff with a small seating area.

Exterior

Modern exterior with bright paint schemes of yellow and blue. The building fronts one of the many side streets that make up the Geylang area. It comes to life at nights with a bustling main road full of locals and renown for its cuisine. Streets are, like the rest of Singapore, clean and very well lit at nights.

Rooms

Rooms are small, relative to hotel rooms in Singapore. As this is a no frills hotel, amenities and furnishing are basic. Basically clean bed(s) with a small cupboard but with coffee/tea and cable television facilities. However, it is ISO 9002 certified and thus quality and cleanliness is assured. The attached bathrooms are equipped with standing shower only.
