Lobby
The lobby is located on the second floor up the escalators. The medium sized lobby also has a small bar with ample seating facing the check in counter.
Exterior
The historical facade completed with terracotta tiles and french windows that overlook the street and city, the hotel is unmistakable with bright yellows and whites. There is a courtyard in front surrounded by shophhouses and cafes. There is a lively beer garden outside for evening drinks.
Rooms
Rooms are bright with muted colors. There are hints of the local Malay and Chinese influence on the doors and furnishing, inlcuding the old style rond brass switches. The windows overlook either Little India or the city skyline. Bathroom are furnished in white with shower baths. All amenities are standard including an inroom safe. Windows are soundproof. Although all rooms are air conditioned, a ceiling fan is standard for that tropical feel.
Restaurant
There is one restaurant where breakfast is serves and also serves up a Singapore speciality Poh Piah. Poh Piah is what is commonly known worldwide as the springroll but this one is is DIY with a lot more ingredients and is very much a social affair like a BBQ. All precooked ingredients are put together as you like and eaten at the table.
