The lobby area is small and modern with a highly Polished marble floor. The reception is very much in the style of a business centre.
Exterior
This modern building is situated on the corner of a street and is a round construction.
Rooms
The rooms differ in size being either small or very small but are however in very good condition as are the bathrooms. The bedrooms are modern with stripped soft furnishings in red and cream. With 111 rooms, of which 20 are suites, the Hotel is located in the traditional centre of Porto, 300 metters from the Metro station TRINDADE with direct connection to the Airport and Campanhã train station, steps away from Rua Santa Catarina, the main shopping zone of the city. Hotel Dom Henrique-Downtown is at the proximity of the Theatres, several monuments including the ancient City area recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage, the Douro River Cruises boarding quay and 5 minutes away from the lively bars area of Rua da Galeria de Paris.
Restaurant
The restaurant is situated on the ground floor and on the top floor there is a panoramic bar with magnificent views over Porto. The "17º RESTAURANT & BAR" is a new gastronomic space with two valences, Bar and Restaurant, located on two top floors of Hotel Dom Henrique-Downtown, designed to provide unique experiences of well-being and comfort in an elegant, yet informal and relaxed, ambience and with a judicious selection of music. Both the restaurant and the bar have terrace with fabulous views over the city of Porto, where smoking is permitted. You can also appreciate the tilled wall, created by Júlio Resende, a renowned artist, in Restaurant “ALÉM-MAR”, on the ground floor. Hotel totally smoke-free.
