Whales bay Hotel Apartamentos is located near Vila das Capelas, a village known for its whaling industry, from the beginning of the 19th century. What remains today is an old chimney – heritage from a whaling factory, its ruins are the memory of the fishermen who lost their lives in the whaling activity.
