Casa da Calçada’s Largo do Paço Restaurant is justly renowned and has been awarded a Michelin star, the only in Northern Portugal. It regularly wins international and Portuguese awards for its modern, innovative cuisine that is steeped in local gastronomic traditions and ingredients. It has a good à la carte choice, including vegetarian and children choices and several tasting menus that allow you to experience the full range of the chef’s ability. The sommelier is at hand to suggest the perfect wine, including those produced in the hotel’s own vineyard, to accompany your meal.The decoration is opulent and cozy, with red and gold tones predominating. Make yourself comfortable in the brocade armchair and prepare yourself for a feast. Start with pigeon breast with toasted pine nuts, then some mussels and tempura octopus.
