We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay at the monopol. the staff were friendly and polite.
the room was clean and warm.
the only down factor was that there restaurant and bar were not open

The location of this hotel was perfect, just outside the central city area away from the noise, but only 5 minutes walk into the centre. the staff were friendly and efficient.
however, the room let the hotel down - it was small and grubby and dirty-looking, especially the carpet (the bathroom was clean though). the breakfast was also not up to much - cold frankfurters and greasey scrambled egg, and dry bread.
