Hotel is found by going behind the central station. behind here is a free ferry going backwards and forwards roughly every 10/15 minutes to the hotel.

hotel is a bit basic and a bit dated but shower and bed were both fine and a good breakfast set us up for the day.

Nice quirky hotel

We picked this hotel for it's quirkiness and the price. it was basic but clean and the bed was very comfortable. staff were all very friendly and helpful. there is a free ferry that runs from behind central station to the hotel several times an hour and the trip takes around 12 minutes. our only gripe was breakfast. the food itself was fine but the onboard restaurant was being revamped so we had to go across the road to a smaller ship which just wasn't big enough to accommodate the number of guests. it was absolute chaos every day with people wandering around looking for tables. the staff who were working very hard couldn't fill the food trays quick enough either so there were often people waiting for refills. i would stay here again but only if the restaurant has been reopened.

Excellent as ever

Quality accommodation at a fair price. fourth visit to the botel consisted of the usual efficient check in, high standard of cleanliness and service. the buffet breakfast is still sumptuous and sets you up for the day, and the ferry ride over to centraal station still runs like clockwork. recent renovations making this ideal amsterdam base even more fantastic. many thanks to all concerned we'll be back.

For something different

Good hotel for the price, shuttle bus to/from other ferry when ndsm ferry not running. good selection of continental/cooked breakfast included in rate.
easy to hear noises from people talking or walking past, but that`s just because it is a boat without proper walls. i slept well though. nice restaurant nearby, not much in the way of scenery on this side of the water.

A break from the norm

Great base to explore amsterdam, definately quiet on board at night, too quiet. take some cards if you are planning on a night on board. the ferry is regular and free and is a 10 minute journey across to the city.
the only food you can have on board is breakfast which is very good and you can buy burgers at lunchtime but no food available to buy in the evening.
shower is small but adequate, room was larger than expected.
all in all a good place to stay when you haven't a lot of cash and don't mind not being in the centre of the city.
