General
This city establishment is the former residence of the British Consul and has been renovated and transformed into a hotel. It is decorated in Andalusian style with interior patios and fountains and comprises a total of 60 rooms including 1 suite, a garden and a terrace. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, lift access and a TV lounge. There is a bar, a disco and 2 restaurant as well as a snack bar and guests can take advantage of the WLAN Internet access and room and laundry services (for an additional fee). There is parking available (charges apply) for those arriving by car. Is situated on the top floor at the rear of the hotel. It has a dark wooden floor and corresponding heavy dark furniture.
Lobby
The lobby is small, but it opens out onto seating area and outside courtyard whose centrepiece is a sparking fountain. Arabic style tiles and traditional designs can be seen in all the public areas. The original building is located at the rear, housing a bar named after Winston Churchill, which is well kept and in almost original condition.

It is a plain stone building.
Rooms
Quite large traditionally decorated with ceramic floor tiling. The curtains and bedspreads have a floral design. The toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom (typical in Morocco).
Restaurant
The restaurant is situated on the top floor, at the rear of the hotel. It has a dark wooden floor and corresponding dark heavy furniture.
Location
The riad is located at the heart of the city, the Medina, Batha square. Situated in the centre of the Medina area, the Batha Hotel Fez is about 12 miles from the airport.
