Historic buildings and typical places Fez make a tourist destination, a phenomenon that can at least in part to support the local economy. The city of Fez is also considered one of the most attractive of the Islamic world. In the old part of the city, Fes el Bali is a world heritage site from 1981. Old Fes is characterized by narrow streets and markets in which they sell the most unthinkable things. The first remarkable monument of the Medina is the Madrasa Bu 'Inaya, dating from around 1350. It's a Koranic school with accommodation for students. A complex of buildings with a courtyard whose floor is adorned with marble, wood, onyx and gypsum. The entrance is fronted by a water clock and an arc that crosses the road. The most important mosque is the Masjid al-Qarawiyyin which is also home to the oldest Islamic university, with a library of ancient Koranic texts, and is second in prestige on a par with the Zaytuna in Tunis, only to al-Azhar University in Cairo, founded in the tenth century.
Fez is served by two railway stations with which they can be reach the other cities of Marrakech, Casablanca or Rabat. At 15 kilometers, however, is the international airport site "Fess-Saiss".
