Having booked a room with lake view we had a very pleasant stay at hotel milan au lac. though the weather wasn't the best during our stay and we couldn't use the balcony much, we still enjoyed the absolutely wonderful view over lago maggiore . the room was not big but big enough for us (two adults, one child), and the bathroom was very nice. breakfast at the veranda was good and everybody was friendly and helpful. the location must be the best possible in stresa - close to both the ferries to the extraordinarily beautiful isole borromee and to all the cosy restaurants in this charming little town.
