We were greeted at reception over the course of our stay by several different members of staff - all were polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. the rooms are quite small but all have a private bathroom (not all in riga do) and a hairdryer included. one tiny tele but no kettle (wasn't a deal breaker). if you're looking for somewhere to crash at the end of a day exploring then you've found your hotel. although this hotel is slightly out of town, don't let it put you off - reception can call you a taxi into town that costs €3 or less with "panda cabs" -just make sure you ring and book to get back as well otherwise just getting any available cab can be pricey (between €6-8 depending on the driver and whether he switches the meter on or not). overall had a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, modern, friendly hotel.

Stayed for three nights and found the dodo surpassed my expectations. it was very well situated for very quick access to the centre of riga, by no.7 tram every ten minutes, and provided clean and adequate accommodation. staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
