This four-star establishment is an excellent option for guests who are interested in architecture, food and restaurants. The Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa is 9.4 kilometres from the Riga Airport, 8 kilometres from the Riga Zoo and 500 metres from the Daugava River. All the 144 rooms are housed in a modern building that is built to feature original elements of the historical culture. Each room contains modern facilities and air-conditioned rooms with wired and wireless internet. 3 nights in november so little sleep , nightmare !!!

we have stayed in many hotels in old riga and the first time you stayed here as it only opened in june 2015

the staff and the hotel are lovely and the spa centre is fantastic, the rooms are very well designed and very clean lines .

there is a but it's a very big but ,it appears to be a hotel that tourists use for weekends away and partying and drinking. we did not manage one proper nights sleep we had neighbours who came in at 3 o'clock in the morning and kept talking and laughing until at least 7 am and televisions playing in adjacent rooms which kept us awake so didn't get to sleep until the early hours then woken up by the other neighbours.

we can only conclude that the walls are made of cardboard with no insolation between them as i could hear people running up and down corridor as they went to bed as well as the neighbours.

if you want to party weekend no sleeping it's a great hotel however if you want to sleep do not stay here !!!!!

Great hotel - very good location. - nice breakfast

Stayed 4 days and thought the room, hotel and breakfast were spot on.

location was very good - less than 10 minute walk from bus and train station and just on the outer edge of the old town - useful supermarket/mall across the street

Very central in the old town

Location: brilliant if you want the old town at your door step. slap bag in the middle of it.
the room: we opted for the standard room and it's fine. small, but not overly small. bathroom has a shower and is the perfect size. no bath. room has two single beds joined together which is about king size bed wise size. tea making facilities, stocked fridge with very reasonable priced beers etc, safe, hair drier, iron.
spa:did not visit, but additional cost if you want to
food:breakfast is weird, well weird for me. it has the usual continental stuff, but also fish, boiled veg, chicken wings and a very un champagne tasting champagne. also the dining facilities are very busy and so finding a seat is sometimes a bit of a game, but the best way is just to share a table with someone else if it is really busy. we haven't tried dinner at the hotel as riga old town has an amazing selection of excellent restaurants to dine at.
the hotel has just opened so an additional bonus is everything is new!
