The first core of the building with the vaulted door was built at the end of the 17th century. The present form is the result of subsequent extensions completed at the end of the 19th century. Largo Luigi di Francia, at the rear of the palace, is the result of demolitions following the 1783 earthquake. In the mid 18th century, the palace was extended for the first time with the purchase of an alley, part of the pavement and small cellar windows can still be seen today.
