Staying over

I chose this hotel because the reviews were ok, and we needed a stop-over at the end of our mini-break in tuscany. accademia palace hotel is close to the airport and there's a mini bus service.
we had to use taxis to and from pisa because the mini bus times didn't work for us (perhaps i should have researched this more closely). taxis cost 16 euro and 12 euro respectively. this was dearer than i had read in previous reviews but traffic was heavy which, i assume, pushed the price up. transfer to the airport was complimentary.
the buffet breakfast was the best we have ever had.
generally the hotel was very clean and welcoming. the crisp white sheets and big fluffy towels were also the best i have ever experienced.
our room was at the front of the hotel but traffic noise was not a nuisance.
i would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a stop-over.

Pleasant hotel for the price

We stayed one night at the hotel prior to an early morning flight. the hotel is convenient for the airport, its a five minute fairly straightforward drive. the hotel is a modern, business type hotel on an industrial/commercial estate. there is a pizza restaurant and a couple of bars nearby. the hotel offers a courtesy bus to the airport and pisa centre, though the last one back from pisa is 8pm.
