The lobby is medium in size, with a seating area.
This is a large, traditional, five storey building.
The bedrooms are well maintained and in good condition. They are medium in size, with soft pastel shades, and built-in wardrobes to create more space.
The Riverside restaurant overlooks the famous river Lee, and the room is very elegant, dimly lit, with large windows. The Waterside Cafe is open all day offering light meals and snacks.
The Hotel The Metropole is perfect for who wants to travel by car. The hotel is suitable for sportsmen. The hotel is perfect for swimmers. The Hotel The Metropole offers disabled facilities. Guests can use the hotel's restaurant. The Hotel The Metropole offers a laundry service. Guests have access to an overhead projector to better support meetings, etc.. There is a projector available for the use in meetings. The hotel is great for those who travel for work. The hotel is ideal for families with small children. There is a solarium on the premises.

Only stayed here one night, very central for cork city,clean, fair size rooms, we had no problems here.

The hotel is in a great location. the room was fine, though the view was of the car park. at one point we had "brown" water coming through the shower and the hot tap which reception said they'd send someone up straight away to fix but we had to remind them again before the repair was carried out. the leisure facilities were really good and really quiet which was great. the restaurant was fantastic, the food was top class and the staff were excellent, the manager of the restaurant even bought us a drink on the second night which was a really nice touch. cork itself was good but very expensive.
