When we arrived at the reception, we informed the personnel that we would be away on a tour and would miss one breakfast that we had already paid for. we asked whether we could swap it for dinner and were told that it was fine,we would only have to pay approximately isk 2000 each to upgrade for dinner. this was confirmed by two receptionists. we went ahead and had dinner. after finishing, we went to pay but the restaurant staff told us that it was not possible to do this for dinner. this was only possible with lunch. she said she would speak to the restaurant manager and would also make a note on the receipt. upon checking out, we were told that we would have to pay for the full cost of the dinner for the four of us. we were very disappointed because we missed a breakfast and had to pay the full price for dinner. the information given to us by the two receptionists was misleading.
