Lobby
The lobby is medium in size and much as it would have been several decades ago with its wood reception desk and antique furniture. Whilst it may look a little tired it is a throwback to the old Hungary.
Exterior
Built in a magnificent Art Nouveau style and opened in 1918, the stately Hotel Gellért the building with the famous Gellert spa, free of charge.
Rooms
The rooms of the hotel vary considerably in shape, size, decoration, furnishings and style. All rooms are traditional and clean, some have new carpeting. There are three main styles of bathrooms. The oldest have floral tiles and archaic plumbing. The intermediate have 70's green tiling with old plumbing. The newest are tiled in white.
Restaurant
The Duna Restaurant, located on the floor of the gallery, not only boasts a beautiful view over the Danube and the city, with the Liberty Bridge, but also a renowned gourmet cuisine. Sörözõ Brasserie is the restaurant's informal structure, ideal for those wishing to combine a relaxed atmosphere with a delicious Hungarian and international first class. The café of the Gellért Hotel is a real treat for lovers of homemade cakes and aromatic coffee or tea and freshly roasted.
