Hammersmith has a bit of an issue with hotels. the holiday inn express is perhaps the best of a bad bunch compared with local guest houses and the novotel. the rooms are simple and clean. it is just very noisy (from the corridors) and a bit bland and uninspiring. the beds are hard and the pillows lumpy, but it is clean and well maintained. the continental breakfast is again ok, but nothing special. not luxury or business but the best on offer in the local area.

Perfect hotel location for apollo theatre, excellent value for money. clean room, with everything we needed. polite friendly staff. would recommend to anyone. for a continental breakfast it was excellent, even had scambled eggs and sausages!

Nice and simple, no whistles and bells. good, clean comfortable accommodation with clean bathrooms and pleasant staff. simple continental breakfast served in clean, quiet surroundings. pub next door and king street has a lot of restaurants and pubs so you can find something you like (recommend the 'hammersmith ram' for a good pint of guiness)

This holinn express ticks a lot of boxes; good transport links and parking; plenty of interesting restaurants close by (strongly recommend shilpa's indian vegetarian). room was clean and spacious but noise from adjoining room meant little sleep - they weren't shouting, it was just a family talking late at night but very disruptive because of paper thin wall/adjoing door. bar area absolutely dead; probably because there is a very lively wetherspoons' pub next door! staff efficient and usual decent breakfast.

The express by holiday inn hammersmith is a good clean hotel of a similar standard to that of a premier inn, in that it has decent-sized rooms, with good service at reception. at the price i paid through hotelsclick.com, it was excellent value for money. however, i would not have been quite so satisfied if i had had to pay the rack rate. this is simply because london prices are ridiculous, the shower was not so good, with fluctuating temperatures from cold to very hot (room 308) and the only breakfast available was a strictly continental affair. the express by hi hammersmith is centrally located for a good selection of bars and a great variety of restaurants, and is, therefore, generally recommended.
