The hotel was built in 1900 and renovated in 2003 and comprises a main building with 4 floors with a total of 40 apartments. Facilities include a lobby with reception, a lift and a café. The hotel also has a TV room and a bar. Nice location, shame about everything else.
The hotel is ideally situated in edinburgh, it is close to the castle and shopping centre. unfortunately it is very tired and dirty. the bedroom was very small. in the bedroom there was a fridge which didn't work, we mentioned it to reception and they said that it should have been removed when the hotel stopped doing breakfast - which was 3 years ago! we booked via hotelsclick, when we got there the receptionist told me that it would have been much cheaper if we had booked directly with them.
