Lobby
This is large and decorated in traditional style with a marble floor and central seating area. There is a large, welcoming fireplace, and high ceiling panelled in wood. Paintings and antiques are all around.
Exterior
This is a beautiful old castle, built between 1889 and 1894 by the Empress Frederick, daughter of Queen Victoria, who lived there until her death in 1901.
Rooms
These vary from meduim to very large and are all slighty different in style. They all have classical furnishings and original works of art, giving them character. Rooms have views either of the park or golf course. These, and the bathrooms are of the excellent standard you expect of this type of hotel.
Restaurant
The restaurant is one of the most beautiful rooms in the hotel, decorated in traditional style. Here there is also a high, wood-panelled ceiling. Wine from the hotel's own vineyard is served here. Also there is an American bar, which is styled in keeping with the rest of the hotel and boasts Germany's only painting by Turner.
