The lobby is very large with a tiled floor and a long black reception desk. There are black leather seats opposite the reception desk. Various pieces of modern art brighten up what would otherwise be a rather cold reception area.
It is a typical East German high rise building, built before the German reunification, but extensively modified.
The hotel has 282 rooms and suites, all with magnificent views overlooking the city's historic cathedrals and half-timbered buildings. The rooms in this hotel have all the luxuries of a four-star hotel, including cable television, coffee and tea, high-speed Internet.
The restaurant is located in the first floor. Huge windows and a pale colourscheme make for an airy, or even rather cold atmosphere, but some diners have good views of the surrounding historical buildings.
