Lobby
The lobby is small - an intimate area with a small reception desk. There is an adjoining seating lounge filled with antique paintings, books and ornaments, a recurring theme throughout the hotel.
Exterior
An ornate traditional facade with marble pillars and dark stone arched-windows. Very beautiful building
Rooms
The rooms are of different size. 40% are large and 60% are medium sized; but they are all in very good condition. They are slightly more modern than the rest of the hotel in design, but retain traditional furnishings where possible. Several of the bathrooms are wonderfully old-fashioned some even having marble floors with inlaid mother of pearl. Classical art deco style features in some rooms.
Restaurant
For lunch or dinner, stop by Brasserie Mathisen, a restaurant that specializes in Fusion cuisine. Dining is also available at the coffee shop/cafe, and room service (during limited hours) is provided. Need to unwind? Take a break with a tasty beverage at one of the 2 bars/lounges. Buffet breakfasts are served on weekdays from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM for a fee.
