Sadly not run like a 5* hotel at all

The pictures do not tell the true story of this hotel. 3/4 stops on the metro from the town you approach via a grotty graffiti ridden station and then have to risk life and limb competing with aggressive drivers to cross a roundabout to reach reception. once inside you think you have landed in a true 5* with an impressive reception area. this soon changes once you reach the rooms; we were 'upgraded' to a 'business suite' which wasn't a suite at all but just a regular twin room that once would expect in a 4* chain hotel. small cramped bathroom; odd triangular shape, hit knee on basin top every time the toilet was used! have to crawl on the floor to find a plug socket. truly appalling quality mattresses. corinthia claim to have dream beds; these were more of a nightmare! so light you could easily lift them with 1 hand and cheap springs that creaked and crunched with every move and gave no support at all. reception staff indifferent to any complaint simply stating that no one else had complained. refused to visit room to see my point, change mattress or the room, or give a refund and let us find another hotel. spent both nights on the floor, more comfortable than the bed but hardly a 5* experience. maid service very poor, hardly cleaned at all and beds hardly made up (not that thus mattered)

Very nice romantic stay

During easter period it was very attractive from several points:
-- bed quality (reasonable people understand)
-- room design and quality, abcense of noise from neighbours, view from window
-- swimming pool on the building top for free at "happy hour" entry
-- brilliant breakfast
-- helpful personnel (including search of attractions and purchasing tickets even before arrival)
-- confortable transport towards city centre
-- nice sauna and oriental massage facilities
-- very well equipt exercise room

negative:
-- only 1 russian tv channel
-- evening bars and cafe inside hotel were not good enough to my taste, while still acceptable

Summer holidays 2010

Lovely hotel in a location which was within a 25 minute walk to wenceslas square. the metro is literally metres away accessible directly from the hotel entrance. 2 stops later and you are in wenceslas square, with the main railway station one stop further. we arrived by train and departed by plane. though the hotel is large the staff were very friendly at all times, and very helpful. the surprise is that there is a charge to use the swimming pool and gym, unless you start using these facilities between noon and 1 pm. this charge can add considerably to your stay if you want to use them early in the morning before you start your day. overall we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the hotel very much and would highly recommend it.

Prague weekend

The hotel is just two stops away from wenceslas square on the metro. the metro station is just outside the hotel about 50 metres away.the buffet breakfast was superb with a great variety.
had an evening meal which was very expensive, food was excellant but pricey.

Overall very good value for money. can not really fault this hotel, staff were friendly, rooms were spotlessly clean. location is ideal with metro being on the doorstep. bar prices were expensive so we tended to drink outside the hotel.

Definitely recommend this hotel to stay in

Excellant hotel, metro at your doorstep, facilities top notch.
only disappointment was that the pool ws closed on friday and not ehated on saturday when we wished to use it it but only a small issue as everything else was perfect.

staff are a credit
