Poor service and lack of professionalism

The food, the waiters work annoying, disgusted give bad service. the pool closes at 7 pm and the bars of the same at 5 pm have nothing to offer. open spaces that offer food next to the pools cannot get wet. in the rooms the tvs do not have their remote, the beds in poor condition basically the extra, the air conditioning lousy.
in our case in particular, we were given a room without the necessary conditions, broken tv, shabby beds and no bath or beach tohallas, after much begging we got another room somewhat better but with lousy air conditioning. in the restaurant the waiters with bad face and complaining to each other who attends to whom. there were no teaspoons to take ice cream, hot drinking water, saltless salt shakers. all in all, all bad.

Cuban beach holiday

We are americans spending our first time in cuba. we enjoyed all the sites in havana however we are not city people so we decided to spend 3 days at the beach which is what we are most accustomed to. the hotel has a fantastic beach and we loved the spaciousness and the grounds of the resort. the shows they had every night we're really top-notch and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Good in parts!

We arrived here as booked only to be sent to the sister hotel blau varadero, so not a very good start!
the next day we were moved back to blau marina resort and although we were upgraded to sea view rooms, we had pretty much lost a day and a half of our 5 day stay.
the rooms were nice and well kept and cleaned daily. we were lucky to be in block 16 which was close to the main building so not too far to walk.
location is great, right on a lovely beach but if, as was the case with us, the weather is not good, there is absolutely nothing else to do!
the only lounge area was in the lobby so a) very crowded and busy and b) open to the elements so very cold and draughty when it is windy.
this was our biggest complaint about the hotel, otherwise there are three pools, one of which doesn't have loud music and all sorts of noisy activities going on, which is good - and is also more sheltered to a welcome relief from the very strong winds on the beach.
food is what you would expect at a standard all-inclusive and the dining room generally worked well although a lot of time was spent tracking down plates and bowls at most meals!
our daughters, in their 20's were perfectly happy with the resort.
to sum up, its not a 5* as you would expect in most other countries but i guess a 5* standard for cuba and in good weather would be great. if you are going in winter and don't have children, i would suggest you stay at the blau varadero instead as the inside communal areas are much nicer.
