Only stay here in situations of desperation.

We arrived at maria dolores in the evening having walked from the viazul bus station at trinidad, the walk is a pretty easy 30 minutes. upon arriving at the reception, hoping to check in, we were told to wait whilst the staff finished a private conversation.

once we had checked in, we were shown to our room. there were electrical wires hanging from the roof (i assume light sockets used to be installed there), the air conditioner was attached to the wall by electrical tape, there was a hole in the wall that extended to the outdoors, the handle in the shower was sharp and cut my partner when he grabbed at it.

on our final morning we had to leave the hotel at 6:30am to catch our transport to santa clara. we asked if we could have any sandwiches made up for us to pick up in the morning on our way through. the woman at reception said it would be impossible, we then asked some kitchen staff if they could help us, they said that they would make sure there was something there, in the morning there was no food and no staff.

i would not recommend this place in the slightest.
