The lobby is fairly understated, with a wooden floor and a large rug. There is no seating, but this is available in the newly renovated bar, which is located directly off the lobby.
As the name implies, the hotel was built to resemble a chateau.
All the bedrooms have recently been refurbished and although the bedrooms vary in size, they are all medium and very comfortable with antique reproduction furniture. A feature of the bathroom is that the mirors have heaters so that they do not steam over.
The hotel is renowned for its restaurant which serves first class French cuisine. The restaurant itself is located on the ground floor and is rather basic with high ceilings, stone floor and arches but the food is excellent.
