The lobby is large and has been renovated, although the reception area itself is small, and comprises of ample seating and a small area reminiscent of somebodys front room, with a televeision, a small fireplace and a small library.

Exceptional value

At less than 43 euros per night, including b/fast (for a 3 night break) this had to be one of the best value deals in brussels. colleagues staying nearby in just a 3* hotel were paying far more.
sure the rooms and public areas are starting to look a little dated but the hotel is just about perfect - clean and central.

The good the bad and the what could be better

The good, central location, the reception staff, the size of the rooms, modern and clean, everything you need.
the bed, large and comfortable. the breakfast was great.

the bad, the room had a slight odor not sure what it was.
the soundproofing was dreadful from the rooms adjacent and corridors.
the room service food was expensive for what it was.

what could be better?
all the bad mentioned above, but overall, it was worth the money spent, as i book through hotelsclick where i got a great deal compared to other web sites.
so taking this all into account, an enjoyable stay.

Great brussels hotel.

Hotel situated close to shops and restaurants around avenue louise. all staff very friendly and helpful, good choice of food at breakfast and allowed to keep our room until 2p.m. on day of departure without extra charge.

From reading prior reviews we did book nh expecting it to be a good experience but in the back of my mind i was expecting to be disappointed maybe due to similar situations where we expected to much in the past. however, right from the moment we phoned the hotel as we got lost! it was positive all the way. the receptionist (a young lady) who checked us in was genuinely polite , helpful and kept asking us how was our stay. the room was spacious a good rate and modern in its design. the location is as mentioned in prior reviews great and the breakfast was very good in value although it did appear a bit under staffed. regardless, the waitresses were attentive and again helpful.

so often the staff let down a hotel but all your staff deserve a pat on the back for making our stay a pleasure. this includes the housekeeping department who did an excellent job with our room. if we return to brussels we will be back.
