Pre-christmas break

Enjoyable stay in comfortable and conveniently located hotel. public areas of hotel particularly nice, rooms fine but would benefit from carpet cleaning or replacement. nice atmosphere in bar area. restaurant very busy at breakfast, but good selection of cold dishes (as long as you don't leave it too late). 'american breakfast' slightly misleading as only hot dishes were scrambled egg and bacon!

An unforgetable experience

My stay in this hotel was awful.i was in room620. it was cold with no heating thr a/c unit blasted out cold air, the windows streamed with waterand were not soundproof to outside noises. the wall around the window was black with damp. after complaining i was informed that there were no other rooms available and the reception desk personel gave the 'i couldn't care attitude.

That sinking feeling

This is our 3rd time @ this hotel. it may just have been bad luck because our previous stays have been acceptable to excellent. reception was unfriendly, pedantic , downright unhelpful when it came to parking our car. the room (103) was very small (not a problem as we only slept there), dark due to weather/season narrow 'shaft' outlook and grey (possibly age/dirt) curtains. made it a very 'grey' experience. the bath had a sharp rust hole by the overflow (serious health hazzard), tiles had brown mold and the floor was sticky on arrival. after contacting reception, housekeeping was quick to appear but just dismissed it as no problem (the mold), it's the cleaning liquid we use (the sticky floor) and the hole in the bath was explained as 'the recession'. no 'do not disturb' hangers for the doors which means the the maids start knocking on the door from 07:30 onwards. an issue also on previous stays, highlighted to housekeeping every time. considering the price preformance it is still good value apart from the 'bathroom experience'.

3 nights at the bedford for the price of 2

Hotel and staff were okay. no problem at all. possibility to leave luggages before check-in and after check-out. good quality breakfast buffet. it gets very busy during the week for business.
