Well located near Vienna's prime tourist attractions and near to the underground system. A great choice for the budget traveller in Vienna.
The hotel is very well located in the 7th district of Vienna, close to the parliament building and not far from the town's other sights and attractions, and close to the underground lines U2 & U3 (Volkstheater station).

First the good points.
the hotel location is very good, within walking distance of the city centre and all the major attractions, and with easy access to public transport if preferred.
the bathroom was clean, also the bed linen and towels. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was ok.
now the bad points.
the hotel is clearly designed as student accommodation. our room was just like a room in a university hall of residence, and was designed to have a single bed, so that with the double bed there was very little space on either side. the room was dingy, and in urgent need of decoration. the carpet was not clean, and there was a faint smell of tobacco. the tv was ancient, and only had german language stations. there was no shaver point in the bathroom, and no extract fan.
there were no coffee/tea making facilities. there was a charge for the use of the safe (at reception), and internet access was charged at 1 euro for ten minutes(at a nearby internet cafe we had 50 minutes for the same price).
the hotel is in the course of having a an extra storey added and there is constant noise of drilling and other construction activity. we were awoken at 7 am each day by the sound of a pneumatic drill. when i complained about this we were offered another room, but this was just as bad. i asked why we had not been warned in advance of the construction noise, and was told that it was "nothing to do with the hotel". i found it hard to believe that they had nothing to do with having an extra floor added. the room rate was not cheap, and certainly was not good value for money, especially compared to other hotels we have stayed in courtesy of hotelsclick.
