They've thought of everything

We chose this hotel because it is in a good location for shows etc. they've thought of everything. plasma tv, good coffee, fresh milk in fridge. even mineral water. the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed i have slept in with wonderful crisp clean egyptian cotten linen and duck down duvet. everything was shiny clean and the shower was really powerful. all the staff were welcoming and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. i can't rate this hotel highly enough. we ate at the grille and although it is run seperately, we received the same friendly service. the meal was great and as it was a friday night, there was a dj and a very buzzy atmosphere. i can't wait to stay here again.

Cool chic hotel

I loved the lobby of the hotel with the open fires and great leather sofa's the staff were friendly, and the whole hotel had a very laid back feel to it, the rooms were smaller that i thought they would be, but they were fine for an overnight stay very comfortable and the shower room was amazing. i have already recomemnded the hotel to friends and when i return to london will definately book the hoxton again as the location was great only 2 stops from kings cross!

How great was the hoxton? .....read on & find out!

Excellent! what a refreshing change to have your expectations excelled. the service was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. they even searched to find where the restaurant was we had booked into that evening, showed us a map & ordered us a cab. the room was spacious enough, the bed was larger than a standard double and i didn't want to get out of it as it was sooo comfortable, had lovely large cushions too. the room & bathroom were both spotlessly clean. locations is a bonus too, nearest stop is old street, only 2 stops from leicester square. no complaints, spot on! we will be going back again.

Great value and funky for a city hotel

We had a good stay here. admittedly we weren't here for long, as we only used it to crash after a late night out, but it was great. rooms were modern, extremely clean, and excellent value for money with the deal we got on hotels click. bathroom was great, with white company goodies, and a huge shower head which helped the hangover a lot. it was also extremely well sound-proofed. i couldn't believe that i was staying in the centre of london, as i didn't even hear traffic noise. the staff on the desk were friendly and efficient. breakfasts were also good. i would definitely use this hotel again, seeing as you can get a room for the same price as a travelodge!

Great hotel - brilliant location - highly recommended

Had a lovely stay in the hoxton in march 2007. the rooms are very well laid out and have the most comfortable beds and an absolutely brilliant shower. reception staff were consistently friendly and helpful and it's quite a 'buzzy' place to stay as the grille restaurant and bar have a lovely atmosphere in the evening time. young and trendy with all mod cons. breakfast is unusual in that a brown bag is placed outside the bedroom door each morning (at your requetsed time) containing oj, a banana and a yogurt. free tea and coffee and fresh milk and water in the fridge. absolutely brilliant as there's no need to wake up early and hit the breakfast room!! will definitely be back.

Great place to stay

This is a fab hotel, the rooms are not huge but the decor is modern and funky. the cocktail bar is great and a short walk to brick lane and spitalfields market...

Hoxton square and hotel

Really liked this hotel. the room was quite small but perfectly formed. whilst there wasn't a bath there was a fabulous shower and the bathroom (as with all the fittings) was immaculate, trendy and clean. a beautiful hotel only a five minute walk from hoxton square where we were going out for a friends birthday. i strongly recommend this hotel and if we go to that area again i shall book in again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and have been very satified each time, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy, lovely 'fluffy' towels, comfy beds, would stay there again.

The hoxton's a hit!

Myself and my fella needed a place to stay close to shoreditch high street for a party. the hoxton was everything and more. it was modern and contemporary with a relaxed non stuffy feel. it was amazing value for money and the lite breakfast delivered to your door handle was a nice touch :) nothing was too much for the staff. they turned off my curling tongs when i left them on and they shut our window when we couldn't work out how to. having down pillows and duvet was the piece de resistance. we will definitely return.

Urban chic on the cheap

The hoxton hotel oozes "urban chic", located in trendy shoreditch it surround by great bars and restaurants. my stay at the hoxton was all together great experience, check in took seconds and with in within 2 minutes of walking through the open plan lobby with bar, restaurant an feature hunting lodge open fire place i was in my room. although not the biggest hotel room i had been in, it was filled with everything i need and more. altogether a great hotel experience, with one exception lack of parking which is fine for central london, however the hotel recommends the use of a car park which is inside the congestion charge zone, which is a waste of time using seeing as the hotel is not. *p.s. form some unknown reason the fire alarm went off at 3am in the morning i stayed the lack of explanation vexed me!

Hoxton hotel

Hotel lived up to it's description and reputation. rooms were contemporary and well appointed, although fairly small. this would suit someone on business but i wouldn't plan on spending a long time in your room otherwise. shower and bathroom was good and all the facilities were brand new and worked well. check in and out was very smooth and quick and staff were polite. the bar is very much young, vibrant and noisy so don't expect to have a quiet drink reading the paper. restuarant looked like it served good food but we didn't have chance to try it ourselves. the in room continental breakfast was a huge disappointment. if you like something light from pret you'll be happy otherwise be prepared to look elsewhere for food. still, for the price we paid, £67 for a couple, it was good value.

Hip and trendy business hotel

i was very happy with my stay at hoxton, mainly because of the following four points: free internet access, light and healthy breakfast, down duvets and a focus on design :) the staff were friendly and helpful. the restaurant has good food and is non-smoking, but might be a bit noisy.

I booked the hoxton as a surprise birthday present for my boyfriend originally beacuse of the location to some old friends i had arranged for him meet with. the hotel was excellent in every way and surpassed all expectations! in past hotels i have found them quite dated for a four star but the hoxton was so modern and the staff were always happy to help with any queries or general info. i will definately be recommending you're hotel to friends and relatives. thanks for contributing to an amazing weekend. rachel

The hoxton rocks

Must start by saying i'm not someone who always gives 4 & 5 stars... was there on business for 3 days friday - sunday reception were well trained and very friendly for he locale. it's the first time a hotel have ever asked me if i would like to swipe a credit card for additional services. i choose not to, check-in and out were swift and easy. the feel of the hotel is modern retro and is ultra funky, yet they still maintain a very professional image. if i'm being really picky, the pink strip lights gave the corridors a slightly seedy feeling, but the rooms were very well laid out (apart from the tv which i wouldn't use - so no issue) and carried off the retro funky feel very well. comfy beds, spacious feel, breakfast sandwiches for £4! my one gripe during the stay (and this is minor!) were the ice cubes in the mens urinal... they seemed a pointless waste of time, money and water. however apparently they keep toilets fresher and would be more economical if there wasn't also a flush system. the problem is that they were the round ones with the dimples. dimples in a urinal think about it... thankfully not me, but one of our group ended up peeing on the bosses shoes. provided hilarity for us all but probably embarrasing for both parties at the time! as an aside there was a payment problem with the verified by visa system. hotelsclick solved it more than satisfactorily. having booked 2 hotels in the last week with them they will be my first port of call for hotels in europe from now on! not only was i exceptionally pleased with the service but i paid 40% less than all the others who booked direct with the hotel. i know this sounds like a joke and that hotelsclick must be paying me for a review this good. they're not. i love giving feedback and am more than happy to talk about things that annoy me. however in this case - top sevice, top price - i honestly cannot fault it! special thanks to luana my personal customer service rep!

Hoxton hotel, shoreditch

Perfect overnight hotel if you need to be in the area. adequate sized rooms and very comfy bed linen duvet etc. would highly recommend the hotel if you can get it at the right price. i have always found hotelsclick to be very good on rates and have used them for the last 6 months for htel bookings. you won't be dissappointed.

Great value for money!

Elegantly designed hotel with moderate prices - and you can walk to the nearest tube station (old street) in just three or four minutes. i've stayed at far less attractive hotels than this in london, and payed more than twice as much. even though the room rates are low, the hotel doesn't rip you off on the extras. wireless internet is free, and using the phone is really cheap.

Efficient hotel, very clean and comfortable. liked the breakfast idea as we were on the run in the morning anyway. only complaint was that the tv did not work in the room but we were not there long enough for it to be a problem.

A real classy place, great value!

The rooms are amazing! just like in the picture. a comfortable bed with soft duck feather pillows and duvet, a flat screen tv, a real view (not looking at a brick wall!) an amazing shower and so on and so on. the area the hotel is located in is perhaps not ideal, walking back at night by yourself through the east end is not the most pleasant experience, but the friendly staff and amazing rooms definitely make up for that! and although the area is not the nicest in the world, the location is great, a 5 minute to the tube and only a short journey to the world's most amazing city. this place is great value for money.

My wife and i had a lovely stay at the hoxton. the hotel is modern, clean and the staff are helpful. central london and the westend is easily reached by the underground with a station just five minutes away.

Really enjoyed our short stay at the hoxton. liked the fact that is is just a 5 min walk away from restaurants and bars. staff were very friendly. general ambiance in the lobby was very welcoming. i would definitely recommend staying there to my friends and family!
