Hotel review

Yes...i had a comfortable stay in this hotel, choosing the 'apartment' type over the conventional mainly because it better suited me travelling with my pet cat. for myself accommodation of pets is an important consideration. the apartment was quite adequate in most respects; the kitchen area was just right and served my purpose adequately, the bathroom could’ve been a wee bit bigger (and the power-shower was heaven to stand and relax under after a day out!). thankfully, hot water flowed in abundance! which is so convenient. the room size was perfectly adequate…. except, i like ’em much b-i-g-g-e-r than normal! (i like nice, big bright airy rooms) and with all due respect i feel i must say, the fabric of the curtains could have been brighter and much less dull & fussy than the 'moderny' ring-like type of pattern they were…not my style…better a plain neutral colour maybe. great for keeping out the morning sun though… but the view from my window, sad to say, wasn’t all it could have been considering there was a building site outside. and i have to comment on the parking facilities offered too. and that comment is, there aren’t enough spaces for the size of the hotel. so all in all, i give the room a resounding ‘nice one’, and the hotel itself the same. apart from that, i think it’s a fair judgement to say i would call it more an elegant bed sit type than a bone fide apartment. and i say that taking the uk’s living accommodation culture into account, by which i've always equated apartments with having more than one room. the reception staff were pleasant and helpful if not a little forgetful at times. the housekeeping staff too were absolutely marvellous. frankie, the pleasant, courteous assistant housekeeper, from day one made me feel entirely at home (and no doubt the other guests too) and knowing i had a cat with me, she took the trouble to call in each morning to provide, if it was needed, every thing i needed to look after the welfare of my pet and myself. frankie…that was so very much appreciated…in fact…exactly what staying in a hotel should always be like…warm comfortable and friendly. thank you. i wish all of you the very best. i certainly will come back again. very sincerely leigh j wilson-hector
