General information: Here at Termas Pallares we can sense the history that surrounds us. There are many men, periods, ideas and to remember them we have to go back in time more than 2000 years, to when the therapeutic properties of the Spa were first known. Beginnings The history of its buildings dates from 1863, year when the construction of two hotels and a casino was undertaken. The latter was inaugurated in 1910, a time when, as the story goes, quite a few fortunes were lost on the tables of the splendid halls (today used as congress and conference halls). The rooms of the Spa have housed monarchs, politicians, artists, writers… The Present Today its elegant architecture recalls all the glamour of the authentic 19th century Spas, where the fabulous vision of a sparkling past exists alongside the total comfort of our days Location: The Spa is located in the town of Alhama de Aragon, situated some 204 kilometres from Madrid and 116 from Saragossa. To get there, you must take the “Alhama de Aragon-Monasterio de Piedra” exit off the N-II dual carriageway (Madrid-Saragossa). The AVE (bullet or high velocity train) stops in Calatayud, which means that the Spa is just under an hour from Madrid and 30 minutes from Saragossa.
