Rome at christmas

Crosti appartments were ideal for a short stay in rome at christmas. the rooms were clean and fully acceptable with great balcony - though not in the centre of all the activity, transport was easy. on the day we arrived there was a problem with the boiler so we had no hot water - but did have heating. the staff at reception said that this happens often and there is no way to deal with it as it was a bank holiday(boxing day). we had to heat water on the hob in order to have a wash. it was repaired the next day

Crosti apartments - september 2011

The apartment is spacious and quite well located relatively close to termini railwaystation and close to a metro stop. with heavy luggage the walk to termini can be quite exhaustive especially in hot weather. the apartment seemed to be quite recently refurbished, and all basic things worked well (shower, toilet, stove, ac). the interior is pretty basic. the reception is located at the crosti hotel and it was extremely nice. a bell boy was escorting to the apartment helping with the luggage and giving instructions about the use of the various devices in the apartment. the street is pretty quiet, but in a big city like rome there is always noise starting in the early morning. all in all a good choice if you don't want to spend excessive money on an expensive hotel!
