Myself and 2 friends stayed at this hotel as we were going to see a show. we spent day shopping and hotel was in perfect location for shopping and our evening show. we had a family room which was enormous and had a lovely scottish breakfast in the morning. next time i am visiting glasgow i would not hesitate to stay at this hotel.

Taxi drivers know the hotel as the best western, the glasgow city hotel means nothing to them. i enjoyed my stay because of the location; able to walk to the secc, there is a close taxi rank outside, convenient for both the west end and city centre. it is friendly, laid back and a little hit and miss, but this lends charm. pleasant old building with more character than a modern hotel.
