According to ancient documents, this farm house was built in 1632 by the Souza Menezes family, and still belongs to the same family. The actual owners Maria Clara and Antonio Carlos de Vasconcelos Sousa e Menezes, completely renovated this country house and reconvert into a rural tourism accommodation to receive guests. Near the main house they built a modern swimming pool, and rebuilt an ancient “Espigueiro” a terrace and they signalized a pedestrian tour in the farm to discover the pure water flows from natural springs. They also renovated its vineyards to produce an excellent Vinho Verde, genuine wine from the region. With 4 spacious bedrooms, all with private bathroom, the Quinta de Cartemil is ideal for a family holiday getaway. The decor and the furnishings combine classic beauty with the contemporary comfort. In the first floor a traditional kitchen gave place to a modern and comfortable sitting room, in the ground floor another sitting room, a TV room and a games room are prepared for the guest's use exclusive.
