An encounter with Cortona is an encounter with art, with history and with spirituality. Getting to know this timeless city is a real rediscovery of our past. Cortona offers testimony to its history as well as an enchanting view of the landscape enclosed by Lake Trasimeno and the Appenines. Every year, extremely characteristic historical re-enactments are organized in Cortona, attracting a large number of visitors. Undoubtedly, one of the most important events organized by the Municipality of Cortona is the so-called "Giostra dell'Archidado" (Archidado Joust), held between May and June with re-enactments of medieval historical events, flag flyers, medieval comedies, and crossbow competitions. Another very popular event is the "Palio dei Rioni e delle Frazioni", a horserace involving teams from the town districts and nearby hamlets held in September, commemorating the medieval period with games and tournaments. Finally, the famous "Sagra della bistecca", or Steak Fair, a market fair taking place in August to promote typical agricultural products from Cortona and Arezzo. All the historical re-enactments held in Cortona are linked to the medieval period and take place between June and September.

Our eight spacious apartments are located where a little settlement once stood in the 19th century. The restoration of the set of buildings has been carried out with the uttermost respect for the original architectural features. The Borgo included a manor surrounded by a group of smaller farmhouses where the products of the land, such as oil, grapes, and wheat were collected and processed. Original building materials have been cleverly restored and reused thus combining the typical atmosphere of a traditional agricultural settlement with state-of-the-art facilities suited to the needs of our times. The types of apartment are the following: TRILO: Casa del Giardiniere (Gardener's House) and Casa dello Stalliere (Groom's House). TRILO SUPERIOR: Casa del Guardacaccia (Gamekeeper's House) and Casa dell'Olio (Olive-oil House). COTTAGE: Casa del Frantoio (Oil -press House), Casa della Seta (Silk House) and Casa del Fattore (Bailiff's House). COTTAGE DELUXE: Casa dell'Uva (Grapewine House). CASA DEL GIARDINIERE (Gardener's House): On first floor, a 80 sqm apartment accommodating up to 6 people. The apartment includes one living/dining room with double sofa-bed, fully equipped kitchen, one double bedroom, one single bedroom with extra bed, one bathroom with shower. CASA DELLO STALLIERE (Groom's House): Ground floor, a 100 sqm apartment accommodating up to 6 people. The apartment includes one living/dining room with double sofa-bed, fully equipped kitchen, one double bedroom, one single bedroom with extra bed, one bathroom with bathtub, a toilet and a private terrace with table, chairs and sun-umbrella. CASA DEL GUARDACACCIA (Gamekeeper's House): First floor, a 105 sqm apartment accommodating up to 6 people. The apartment includes one living/dining room with double sofa-bed, fully equipped kitchen, one twin bedroom, one single bedroom with extra bed, one bathroom with bathtub, one bathroom with shower. CASA DELL'OLIO (Olive-oil House): Ground floor, a 95 sqm apartment accommodating up to 6 people. CASA DEL FRANTOIO (Oil -press House): Ground floor, a 180 sqm apartment which guests up to 6 people. Outdoor space with table and chairs. CASA DEL FATTORE (Bailiff's House): On 2 floors, a 165 sqm apartment, accommodating up to 6 people. The apartment includes on the first floor a living/dining room with double sofa-bed, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, one twin bedroom with bathroom with bathtub and a toilet; on the second floor: one living room, one twin bedroom with bathroom with bathtub. Outdoor space with table and chairs. CASA DELL'UVA (Grapewine House): A 250 sqm apartment, on two floors, accommodating up to 8 people. The apartment includes a living room with double sofa-bed, one dining room, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, two twin bedrooms, one double bedroom, one bathroom with bathtub, one bathroom with shower, toilet, laundry room with washer and private garden with table and chairs. All apartments feature: independent heating system, linen and towels, satellite –TV, telephone, internet access, american coffee machine and electric oven.

À l'intérieur du village sont offerts deux types de Restaurant : le restaurant et la Taverna-Enoteca. Le restaurant propose, dans un cadre élégant raffiné cuisine, tandis que la Taverna-Enoteca suggère, dans un environnement plus informels, plus simple plats mais toujours attentif à la tradition de cuisine dans le territoire.
