##Description **La Locanda del Postino** is a four-star hotel in Salina, in the municipality of Malfa, about 5 km from the centre and about 500 metres from “Balate”, a seaside resort which can be reached via stone steps, where there is a submerged crater, whose remains, shaped by fire, wind and sea, are still visible. This hotel is located in the area that houses the oldest and largest crater of the Aeolian islands, overlooking the sea with stunning views of Filicudi, Alicudi and beautiful sunsets, with the back side protected by a mountainous amphitheatre. It was built by renovating an old farmhouse arranged over two levels that housed an ancient and rich library, the largest and the most central house. The ancient palmento and the “bagghiu” that enclosed the house are still preserved, surrounded by a 1000sqm garden. La Locanda del Postino has a lobby with a TV corner, an internet point, a bar and an unattended car park. Transfers to and from the port, upon request, are not included in the price and require direct payment.
