Hotel Las Nieves is the result of the complete restoration of two 19th-century buildings located on the corner of two central pedestrian streets. During its restoration, Arab and Roman ruins were found; in fact, the name of its main street comes from the old Muslim alhóndiga (market), constituting a border crossing between the Medina and the Christian quarter of La Magdalena. The building located in Alhóndiga was commissioned as the residence of the Marquis of Casablanca, while the adjacent building was registered in the name of Doña Rosario as a guesthouse with a carriage entrance. Its current owners, the Vera family, come from a long hotel tradition spanning four generations, having acquired the property in the 1940s. The comprehensive restoration was carried out in the early 2000s, and there has been a recent remodeling in 2011. Thus, the comfort of the modern is mixed with the flavor of the old, reflected in the preservation of its facade, its entrance hall with the main gate, its rich balustrade, and its Andalusian patios. Their cafeteria offers them the possibility of having breakfast like at home: continental breakfast with cold cuts (if desired) and natural orange juice. We also offer steaming hot chocolate, which you can enjoy upon waking or during your afternoon break.
