Most of our Twin / Double rooms are in the main house but we also offer more secluded accommodation in Rufflets Lodge or the Gatehouse. Decorated with light faux wood paneling, the deep terracotta walls are enhanced by a collection of striking still life prints featuring the work of the Scottish Colorists, Cadell and Peploe. The spacious restaurant has an unfussy, classic contemporary feel to it. Tables, clothed in crisp white linen, are arranged to take full advantage of the space and the views of the formal terraced garden. The fully upholstered, high backed chairs are designed for comfort. In the evening, sparkling glass, candlelight, fine china and floodlit gardens set the scene for a relaxed dining experience, whether it is for a romantic dinner for two or a larger group. The 2AA Rosette Restaurant, which features in all the major guides, has recently changed its menu format from a daily changing, fixed price menu, to a more flexible seasonal a la carte menu, in response to customer demand. Please refer to our menu page for details of all our current menus. Traditional Sunday lunches are popular with families, followed by a stroll round the ten acre grounds.
