This is a good property located in a quieter part of Amsterdam but still within very easy reach of all tourist attractions, Central Station and the airport. This hotel is located close to the centre of Amsterdam and just off the highway A10 which has good connections by car to the airport - reachable within 20 minutes, and to the city centre with tram #2 which takes you to the centre of town within 10 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus to the airport from this hotel but it is not free of charge.

Lobby
The lobby is large with ample seating and with a lovely, welcoming terrace in the summer months where guests can have a bite to eat or a drink. The lobby area itself is blue and cream and could do with a new lease of life.

This is a modern, building with no special features.
Rooms
The rooms vary in size from medium to large and are fairly basic with formica tables and chairs and somewhat dated pastel bedcovers in some rooms and more modern duvets in other rooms. The bathrooms are large but are all with shower only and are in good condition with grey marble and large shower cubicles and white tiling.THE HOTEL IS COMPOSED BY TWO PROPERTIES, THE FIRST IS A 3* SUPERIOR TOURIST AND IS CONSIDERED MAIN BUILDING WITH ALL MODERN FACILITIES WHILE THE SECOND THAT IS A 2* TOURISTIC HTL, IS AN ANNEXE BUILDING WITH A LOW STANDARD QUALITY.
Restaurant
There is a very large restaurant which serves a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and which looks to be rather extensive. There is also a brasserie located in the hotel bar which offers a large range of dishes and which, like the restaurant, is located on the ground floor.

This hotel is very nice if you stay in the main building however we were put in the Annexe for our first night and had to pay 25 euros extra to be upgraded. The Annexe rooms are horrendous and are stuck in a 1970s timewarp! Do not stay in this building at all costs!! The location also isn't great it's about a 20/30 min tram ride in to town although it is a straight run. Apparently the area is not very nice at night, although we were always back before it got dark so didn't experience this. Next time I will definitely stay in the centre even if it means spending a bit more. But if your prepared to travel a bit and make sure your booked in to the main building it's an ok choice.
