Very good stay

Opted for the windrose due to its location to termini and also price. had stayed in a different hotel for 3 nights prior to coming here, which was a bit of a disaster. this was great in comparison. had a room on the 5th floor, which was not huge but big enough for our 6 night stay. bathroom was a decent size with a shower and bidet and a window for fresh air. main advantage was the little sun terrace complete with table and chairs which was nice to sit out after a day walking rome. also, being on an upper floor kept the outside traffic noise down to an acceptable level. decent free breakfast, usual continental fare though the room could get a little busy around 9am. location was excellent, termini was easily accessable on foot with luggage, and a bus stop just around the corner (no 492 ) took you straight to the old town ( pza navona, pantheon, stroll to trastavere ). in fact, we used the bus more than the metro as it was easier to use and easier to access. when we visit rome in 2 years time for the rugby, we will def stay at the windrose.

Great location

Good central location - 5 minutes walk from termini. small, comfortable room - 3 of us sharing so a little cramped but we were hardly ever in - too much to see. air conditioning a must in rome in the summer - ours was a godsend. quiet location - no traffic noise in room. bathroom very good - clean and bright. staff on recption extremely helpful - couldn't do enough. took time to mark areas of interest on maps - gave good directions etc. there was a bar on the ground floor but no-one ever seemed to use it - probably because there was never nayone manning it and nowhere to sit if you did get a drink. rooftop terrace through longe and up a spiral staircase - pleasant to sit there but no views to look at. all in all would stay there again.

Good location

The hotel is of business but rooms are really small. overall, it is value for money and location-wise is very good, with a good restaurant just opposite to it. but the breakfast's choice is too little. should have more varieties of bread or cold cut.
