Great location and views!

Excellent location near upscale mall and many restaurant choices. comfortable surroundings with gorgeous views of the catalina’s, we have been here multiple times for both work and vacation. the pools are beautiful and cater to both families and adults. the contigo restaurant on the premises never fails to impress.

Actual vs quote

I did not like the service fee added to the room rate. $25 +tax per day for parking, water, internet and misc. is a bit much. why not add it to the room rate in the first place? when i booked it said "a service fee may be added", not a service fee will be added. instead of a rate of $186 per day, what i thought i was paying, i ended up paying $214 per day. not a pleasant surprise. room for the price was not spectacular. service fee of 20% automatically added to the dining and bar tabs also a little extreme. why should i not be able to tip for the service i get rather than making it mandatory. i have stayed at other westin hotels but this one is proud of its "extras" that you should expect to be included with the room rate.

Relaxing in tucson

I stayed at the westin la paloma while in tucson to visit the pima air & space museum and titan missile museum with my dad. normally we stay at the standard midrange hotels that are reasonably priced but no frills. when i found the westin at the rate that was offered, i thought it might be too good to be true, but the resort lived up to the descriptions and photos. nestled in the foothills outside of tucson, the resort offers a great place to relax and get away while still being close to things to see and do around tucson. the rooms are nicely appointed with plenty of room to settle in. the pool complex was the best part. multiple pools to suit every preference in a comfortable and relaxing setting. loved it!
