We arrived at the pre booked hotel. the bedding and curtains were stiff from years of use and not fresh. no lightbulb working in the pitchdark bathroom. staff could not fix problem, so we moved over to another room. we were settled by 23h but could not sleep because music somewhere in the street was thumping away as if in our room. around 2h a man started to scream or swear (in arrabic, i think) at the top of his voice just below our window. it went on and on without a brake for an hour and later another hour. by 3h30 we saw about 10 taxis in the street below and hotel staff trying to force women and men into the taxis. fights and screaming from more people. by 4h30 we could not stand the noise any more and got up, showered and called a taxi to take us to the airport where we spend the next couple of hours waiting for our flight. the staff just say sorry, but failed to explain why nobody was able to stop the circus.
