Perfectly pleasant hotel as a base for local touring but surprised by the 4 star rating. the description of the facilities are slightly enhanced - for instance the indoor exercise area was about 3 sq meters of indoor pool and one exercise bike that had seen better days. also surprised by a €10 charge per person per day for sauna or steam room usage. we didn't use the restaurant for evening meals as it simply wasn't priced with a family in mind. staff were very helpful and fortunately spoke far better english than we spoke italian, but the lack of any tourist leaflets or literature was a surprise. the self service breakfasts offered a good choice. in spite of the above we did have very good value for money with the basic room cost working out at £18 per night per person for b&b through online booking 2 months ahead
